Sea-levels are forecast to be slightly below normal over the next three months as weak El Nino conditions persist across the Pacific Ocean.
The highest tides are likely to occur on:
- Wednesday 03 – Thursday 04 July
- Friday 02 August
During these periods (and possibly the days just before and afterwards) flooding of low lying areas is more likely to occur, particularly if larger waves coincide with high tide. Wave overwashing at places such as Paal and Mosral is highly likely.
